As a band that normally plays the pubs and clubs of South & Central London, Kent and Surrey, the chance to play the GuilFest with the likes of some big names was something we didn’t think twice about.

The GuilFest event has grown over its 16 year history and in more recent years attendances have increased from 1500 people a day in 1991 to the now enormous 21000+ each day attending today. GuilFest is now well established as one of the countries leading music events. Previous years line ups have included Billy Idol, A-Ha, The Pogues, Paul Weller, Status Quo, Blondie, Simple Minds, The Proclaimers,  UB40, The Darkness, Alice Cooper, Fun Lovin’ Criminals. This year featured Supergrass, Squeeze, and Madness as headliners across the three days.

Our little slot came at 2.15 on the last day of the festival on the Andertons Live Club Stage, one of the smaller stages at the event. We had played the same stage previously at the 2004 GuilFest. We did a 30 minute set featuring our own material, and played to a packed house – partly due to a torrential downpour which was going on at the time! We took this opportunity well and after performing six songs left the stage to resounding cheers from the audience who eagerly snapped up copies of our new CD Retropolis and our merchandising. We were also interviewed and this appears on the GuilFest website www.guilfest.co.uk.
